When I first got braids after having brain surgery I didn’t want to wear my hair up because I wanted to avoid someone randomly asking me, “how did you get that scar on your head?” It wasn’t really until I watched an episode of the @jenniferhudsonshow where an audience member gladly showed off an outfit and her beautiful legs with a big long scar. She said something like, this scar reminds me that I almost lost my life so I show it off proudly!” LESSON!
