Been taking some time to heal after my incident... and looking back on this year I’ve just felt like I’m being tested. 🖤 From the pandemic, my building flooding, loosing one of my jobs, being involved in a trauma, and then having to pay for majority of the damage from said trauma... there are times lately I felt very defeated. 😔 I know there are people struggling more than I am- so I’ve been trying to focus on staying positive and strong and moving forward. Trying is better than the alternative 💕 Out of all the negatives, there have been a lot of postitives too- so clinging to those wins as much as possible! 🙌🏼 If you’re struggling... you’re not alone and we got this 💪🏼

Hi, I’m still here 😊 Posting about fashion and products I love just didn’t feel right lately... or important. Stayed 7 full weeks in NC with my family- (brother and sister made the trip too) so I took this time to enjoy the quality time with family.... and really listen, learn, read, and have conversations. Some of which were eye opening and tough, but necessary. I want to keep my feed a place for fashion, trends, and products I love... and find my own way into a space where I can support POC, fight for what is right, and demand change. Every month for the next year, I’ll be donating to a different organization to support BLM, and will read one new book so I can continue my own education. I want to do better and be better, and keep the momentum continuously moving forward. The quote in this post really resonated with me... as I struggled to know what to say, how to say it, and when on this platform. Whether you’re marching in the streets, privately signing petitions, or getting out that donation $$... any step forward is a great one as long as it’s consistent 🖤 I will let you know in stories each month what book I’m reading so we can read together... and also where I’m donating to!
