My rule of thumb with plaid is to always size up. Plaid/tartan is not meant to be worn tight! I usually wear a 4 or 27 jeans, and I got a 6 in these. They are roomy in a 6 on me but not in a ‘too big’ way! So size up. They are stretchy!
