These jeans (I have in 4 colors) are 50% off and honestly better than some $185 ones I’ve tried on. Loved this classic outfit on this almost spring day!

#LTKSaleAlert

Cut off or not, these jeans are amazing, OK?! Extra high-rise and pockets that go all the way to the zipper to keep the front smooth. I’m still the kind of person who would rather buy something that’s not 100% perfect than spend 10+ times as much.
Have you cut off jeans before? Am I crazy?

I love a Sunday afternoon wine tasting! This was the perfect outfit: comfortable, elegant, versatile for sunshine or a cool breeze. These organic cotton pieces from @onequince are so comfortable and high quality, and I absolutely love their Italian leather handbag options! Have you ordered from Quince before? I had a lot of problems with this sink not draining and a plumber told me it was partly the soap. So I’ve tried foaming and it’s been better, but this plastic one was not cutting it. Finally found a nice glass one with a polished metal, foaming top!

#LTKHome

I do have a legitimate tutorial for sink skirts just like this on my blog if you want the longer version! This fabric matches the @twopagescurtains Roman shade on this window and I chose a light sage green stripe to pick up the painted trim and @chasingpaper wallpaper.

#LTKHome

I was so happy with this floral wallpaper in my upstairs bathroom, but it was missing something. So I added this cute easy to install outside mount green and white striped Roman shade. It adds privacy and actually is so functional for blocking sun in the afternoons. Plus, such a cute combo with the floral wallpaper, right? I’m linking this exact shade which comes in several cute stripes and checks. You can use my discount code SUZANNAHSTANLEY to get 22% off at @twopagescurtains!

I’m so grateful to live in the neighborhood I grew up in, and I walked past this house a million times before we found out we might be able to buy it and make it ours. My mom took me here once when I was a kid, some neighborhood organization thing, and I remember sitting in this breakfast nook and appreciating the built-ins.😂🤓 And now I get to store my vases and cookbooks and pretty cocktail glasses here.

(What I didn’t realize back then was that the glass doors were not original…! I’m guessing someone replaced them in the 80s and did the best they could, but I just try not to look at them too closely. Still so cute!)

Am I ridiculous for caring this much about my soap bottles? Yes. 🙈 But I think this is called self actualization… when everything else in your life is going well, you can focus on improving the little details. The timeless Nancy Meyers vibes I’m going for in here now make me feel better than the honestly Target and Magnolia knock-off stuff I bought when I was in an unhappy marriage and had a very tight budget and money anxiety. So… Design makes a difference!

I’ve been working on some updates to this kitchen I renovated in 2019–it was a plain white kitchen back then which, it turns out, is boring but a flexible backdrop for several different styles. By swapping brushed brass for polished nickel and industrial metal for traditional painted wood, and a few other styling changes, I was able to lean into the Nancy Meyers kitchen vibes we all want these days—which hopefully is timeless since we love her kitchens from the early 2000s too! Proof you can transform a kitchen with a few surface level changes!!

Finally got this up! My laundry room wasn’t ever really finished and felt plain, and I also didn’t have a great place to hang things to dry. So cute and functional!
This one is from Pulley Maid, and I’m linking a similar one if you comment SHOP.

Took years but finally finished this laundry room and I’m so grateful for it! Despite it being down a couple flights of stairs. Made the best of it! Blog post up this week includes all the sources, plant colors, etc. plus a link to the full basement project and budget.

A basement laundry room is not the dream, but I’m pretty proud of how cute this one is! Took 2 years due to it being part of the larger basement project, and of course a divorce and becoming the only adult around here. Latest addition is the drying rack! Linked what I could in this LTK post, blog post coming very soon.

I had basically given up on finding a rug that was the right size for this room, but there are great custom options now! A rug that’s the right size, filling the room under at least the front legs of all the furniture, especially in a high-quality natural fiber like wool, makes a space feel so much more comfortable and luxurious.

Lucy’s room was already adorable but the new rug, a more functional and pink-trimmed Roman shade, and some art updates made it feel even nicer. And some additional toys and dolls made it feel more like hers. 💕

This rug is from @sisalrugsdirect and I have a link in my IG bio and in my recent full home tour blog post! #SisalStylePartner

My daughter's room was really cute, but needed some upgrades upgrades for function and to make it a little more elegant. First I swapped the Roman shade for this much nicer one… and then the RUG! This made the biggest difference. I found a custom size rug from Sisal Rugs Direct because this room is so long and skinny.

It's a comfortable wool and it comes with a backing attached so it's super easy to lay down. Using a rug the right size gave us enough space for all of her stuff. I was able to clear out some things, get some toy organizers, and then do some final styling touches to make this room feel so lovely and special for her.

The rug for this room honestly stumped me for years because it's so long and skinny and it turns out custom was just the right solution. It's so easy to find exactly what you need on Sisal Rugs Direct for any size room!

I’ve been working on Otto’s room for a year, but I was so stumped by the bedding! Finally found just the right things from @thecompanystore. I had real down/feather pillows when I was a kid and I didn’t realize how hard it was to find good ones now. These are so soft and nice. I love the scallop trim on the shams and quilt! And they’ve just been using those lightweight cotton blankets during the summer, so breathable and comfortable. I think boys’ rooms are hard after the toddler phase. Loving what we found!

The velvet pillows, the warm florals, the greenery, the perfect peachy walls… I love this room! Patting myself on the back. Everyone deserves to get to sleep in a bedroom they love, right?!

I have been like obsessed with my bedroom recently. Haven’t even really changed anything big (I painted the walls a year ago and have been doing minor tweaks since) but it’s feeling so good. Maybe it takes a while to get used to a new space to feel truly comfortable with it. I’m so grateful that I get to sleep here, walk-through here on a sunny afternoon, and have this beautiful place for my fun antique light fixture or whatever my new favorite bedding is. ❤️🙏
(Paint color as a custom one, code is in my story highlight.)

I found this vintage crystal-ey semi flush mount light scrunched up in a printer paper box at my favorite antique store and I carefully hung the strings back on, but I finally rounded up some similar ones available new, at different price points.

Some stills because I am so excited about the pretty colors and warmth in this baseline preppy guestroom. I’m still figuring out how much I want to go Nancy Meyers neutral in my home versus bring that romantic English inspired vintage charm. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I like this! Plus that quilt is flipping amazing. And how beautiful is that decanter set? Those and the crocheted bedding are from @greenrow. Wallpaper is @riflepaperco. Other sources linked below where possible.

I love these cozy updates to my guest room! This quilt is so heavy and delicious and feels so good. It’s literally made of recycled saris! The bedding updates and darling decanter set are from @greenrow, have you heard of them? All of their stuff is sustainably sourced and designed to last. They have a lot of pieces for the holidays committed to a sweeter, slower, more sustainable way of life. Really wonderful stuff. #GreenRowLove #sponsored

Stills from my guestroom/office project. This was a hard one. Out of my comfort zone and a little brighter and a peppier than I’ve been doing lately, back to my pre-industrial/MCM-inspired black and white and then organic earthy modern phases. It’s girly and cheerful, and I love walking into it to work or snuggle the kids!
Sources tagged, all the details in a recent blog post. 💕

I bought this vintage Mersman table for $30 on a rush to get to somewhere else and forgot to confirm payment method with the seller. I got there and he didn’t take any electronic methods of payment. So I drove back up the road to the KFC and got a Diet Coke and $30 cash back. It was those fancy soda machines with all the flavors you can add and I got excited and added vanilla. 🤪 So it’s my soda table. What’s your funniest Facebook pickup story?

#LTKHome

I guess I’d rather do it myself and subject my dad or any of my friends to my rug moving whims. If you have a partner who will happily replace a rug and carefully line up with a rug pad with you, wow, hang onto that one!
Seriously though, I’m very excited for this rug from @rugsUSA, a classic braided jute rug that is super soft and all natural fiber. I see these in the old house design books, and they had so much quality and character. Worth the sweat of this change!

#LTKHome

I am so stoked about my new rug and using this opportunity to remind you that, despite what you see on the design shows, you *always* need a rug pad! Drives me crazy they don’t show that step on installs. A rug will slip around and get damaged faster without a proper pad underneath. And it’s pretty easy to cut them to the exact right size. Plus it makes them feel more comfortable and luxurious.
