I’ve had a small laundry room. I’ve had a HUGE laundry room. And now I have.... this nook (not really a laundry room at all). But you know what? It works as well As any space I’ve had before and I kinda love it. A lot of the features were here before we moved in. I never would have thought to do recessed shelves or a super narrow ledge like this. But both have turned out to be super convenient. The shelves bold my laundry supplies in #anchorhocking jars and 3 sterilize laundry tubs to make putting laundry away much easier. I hung double brass books on the shiplap of the ledge (to hang garments as I pull them out of the dryer) and my file folded shirts and pants fit perfectly on the ledge without taking up a ton of space. There’s a grid wall organizer in the back to hang odds and ends, and a teeny tiny set of cabinets to store cleaning supplies. If you think you need a huge space to have an efficient laundry system... think again!
