I think one of the reasons I spend so much time focusing on home related projects is that we all need refuge in this world, and home can be that.

I’m getting ready to head to Florida next week for my daughter’s last cheer performance of the season, which means it’s time to pull out my travel stash. Being a sports mom means a LOT more travel, so I basically keep all these things packed and ready to go.

When I’m designing vacation homes and VRBOs, we’re always looking for clever ways to add more sleeping space. I found these convertible sleepers for our cabin remodel project and couldn’t be happier with them!

They are a 3-in-1 product; they lie flat as an ottoman (shown here), the back elevates to make them a chair, and the footboard slides out to create a twin size bed!

We pushed two together here so in the chair position they make a loveseat for watching movies or playing video games.

These are amazing for small spaces like kids rooms or teen hangouts and they come in a wide range of performance fabrics.

15 minute bathroom sink cabinet project ✔️

Target Brightroom’s under skunk organizer units (in the bathroom aisle) are game changers. They help you utilize alllll the vertical space you have and magically organize your bathroom.

I used the sliding drawers, a clear lazy Susan, bin clip labels, and a 2 tier organizer (not shown) to completely transform the space under my sink in less time than I sit in carpool line every day.

Hands down, the secret to being a short person living in a tall-ceiling house: is owning a good step ladder.

This Slimline Stepladder is my favorite. It folds up super flat, tucks behind doors, and helps me reach all my ridiculously high cabinets.

This would make a great Christmas gift, but why not take advantage of the holiday sales and buy one for yourself? !It comes in tons of colors too… you have to see the gold one!

When you want an office space with open shelves, you need to go into it knowing that you’ll probably need to invest in “closed” storage to place on said shelves.

Here I used the Bigso collection from the Container Store to keep’ my files and kids’ school papers easy to reach (and out of sight!).
