🌊 Fun fact: I love setting a dress code for my parties—something simple that everyone already has in their closet (usually a color). It makes the photos so much prettier! Last night’s theme? Ocean. That meant blue dresses for me and my niece, stripes for PJ & his papa, denim for my mom, and… my nephew had no blue or green, so he went with gray. It’s rare to have a Sunday Funday with friends these days. But with my birthday coming up, my bestie made it happen. Her hubby babysat, and we had a day to ourselves.

We went to the mall for matching friendship bracelets (more on that soon) and enjoyed kid-free sips and snacks. She’s going to Paris this weekend so I guess I had French girl vibes in my mind when picking out what to wear: stripes, denim, loafers, and a red lip (which I rarely do these days as a mom!). As for the sleek braid… let’s just say I’m very overdue for a haircut 🙈

💛 Skirting It One of my favorite styling tricks? Turning a dress into a skirt with a sweater! By layering the shell on top and cinching my waist with a thick belt, I created the illusion of separates. A thicker belt really helps define the waist and pull the look together.

📝 Bonus Style Tip: You don’t need heels to lengthen the legs. Skin-tone ballet flats do the trick for an understated, elongated look.
