God didn’t say motherhood wouldn’t be hard. He didn’t say it would be straightforward and easy. He just promised that children will be a blessing. Not only when we can afford them. Not only when we have the time and energy to give them all we want to. Not only when they’re conceived in a “perfect” home. Not only when circumstances line up just right and we have the right job. He just says that our children are a blessing. Any child. Anywhere. Any home. Any time. “The fruit of the womb is his REWARD.” (Psalm 127:3) I’m praying a special prayer for all the mommas today. Whether you’re experiencing hurt or exhaustion, or feelings of failure, guilt or inadequacy, the Lord adores you and has blessed you. I’m holding my blessing a little tighter today. 💗
