After having Nusa, getting back into a healthy fitness routine has been a big priority for me to feel strong and more like myself again— but that has meant that I’ve needed to get some new activewear that fits my new curves + supports me right where I’m at. Today is a very special day because Zach and I are finally celebrating our anniversary!! We’ve been married for 7 years ((what!?!)) and our actual anniversary was a couple weeks ago, but we will be celebrating over the next few days. 🥰 We are going on a little staycation in Laguna with Nusa of course, and we are SO excited to spend the next few days relaxing together as a family. Hey guys, I’m Tara!! 🌸 I can’t remember the last time I introduced myself on here, so here it goes again bc so much has changed!!

I live in Orange County, California with my little family that just grown from being my husband Zach and I, to our baby girl Nusa too! ☺️
.
Zach and I met and fell in love in NYC, where I lived for 9 years. It’s where I went to college and started my career in fashion + modeling. New York will always have a giant piece of my heart!
.
3 years into our marriage, we sold our belongings and moved across the world to Bali, Indonesia where another giant piece of my heart will forever remain. 🌴 We traveled the world and had the time of our lives, and moved back to the US just before everything shut down in 2020... and that’s when Nusa came along. 🤪
.
I started this account back in 2015 to share my life with you guys, and that has looked SO different throughout the years. It started with fashion and outfit posts, to tons of travel inspo, and now life as a new mama. I’m not sure which part of my journey you joined me on, but I’m so happy you’re here.

A lot has changed, but my purpose here never has— and that is to connect with you guys, establish a sense of community, and to bring inspiration. Life is so beautiful in every stage + season, and there’s always just so much to be grateful for. Falling in love with your *own* life is so powerful, the ordinary days as well as the extraordinary ones, and I hope more than anything that’s what you take away from here. I love you guys big time + I’m so thankful we’ve connected in some way on this crazy app! Xx

It felt so good to be back on island time! There’s nothing like stepping out of the airplane and being greeted by the humidity of a tropical climate. After living in Bali, it just feels like coming home... We loved being able to explore a little bit of Maui and Oahu on this trip, but it only made us want to come back for more! Somehow our 1st trip to Hawaii has already come and gone, but the memories we made will last forever. ((Plus I still have tons of photos to share with y’all!)) We learned SO much about traveling with a baby on this trip! 😆 I can’t wait to tell Nusa all about it one day when she’s older... how she had 3 blowouts before we even arrived, how she was super fussy the first few days and all that would calm her down was for us to sing her favorite song “I’M H-A-P-P-Y” at the top of our lungs, how she hated being in the water at first— but then how we all started to adjust more and more each day and by the end, it was the hardest thing ever to pack up and say goodbye. We had the best time, and every challenge was 100% worth it to be able to experience Hawaii with our girl. Yes, traveling with a baby is so very different... but it was so special, so rewarding, and even more of an adventure than before. I cannot wait for our next trip as a family of 3! Where should we go next?! Xx

This weekend was beyond special because we got to spend it with Zach’s family! 🙏🏼 We hadn’t seen his sisters since last Thanksgiving, and they came to shower us + baby girl with so much love!! It was so meaningful to us, and I cannot believe that the next time we see them we will be a family of 3...! 😳 This year has been challenging in about a million different ways, but it’s made me more grateful than ever for FAMILY! 💕

It’s been 3 years since either me or Zach have really experienced fall... and we didn’t expect to get the full fall experience this year living in Orange County either! We were completely blown away by the autumn vibes + colors that surrounded us at @carmelvalleyranch these last few days— it could not have been dreamier! 🍂 We shot this pic right after having a picnic in the vineyard, and it will forever be remembered as one of the most romantic dates we’ve ever had!! 🥰💛

Okay let’s be real— embracing every new change my body is going through doesn’t always come easy. It’s new and different and definitely not always comfortable. 😆 Things that keep making me laugh: watching people stare at my belly, figuring out how to pose with this new addition to my body, and trying on the same dress that fit two weeks ago that won’t even go above my hips today. But let me tell you... I feel more beautiful than I ever have before because I’m carrying my girl with me everywhere I go! 🥰💕 I’m showing her off proudly today just like I will for the rest of my life— and that makes all these crazy changes 100% worth it!!!

It’s hard to believe we’ve lived in California for 2 months already! On one hand it feels like we were just in Bali, and on the other hand it feels like we’ve been here for so long because SO much has changed. We shot this pic the one time we drove to Malibu and fell completely in love with everything we saw. This was the day that we randomly saw Adam Sandler biking with his wife lol, took way too many photos of the beach, found a cute truck selling avocados + strawberries and drove to the middle of nowhere to have a picnic and watch the sunset. 🥰 This was also the day that I knew that no matter how long we’d have to be stuck inside, whenever we are able to explore more of our new home again it will all be worth the wait. 💙

The truth is, when Zach and I moved to LA we planned to get a car right away! LA is so spread out— and you definitely need a car to get around here. We had a rental car for the first couple weeks of living here, and then the lockdowns happened. We knew that investing in a car wasn’t the smartest decision financially, especially since we are located in an area that is walking distance to just about everything we would need (post office, grocery stores, hospital, bank, etc). As nice as it would be to hop in a car and go for a drive, we have had to get used to walking around the neighborhood to get fresh air. Any errand we run we do by foot, just like our NYC days, and it’s been such a special way to learn the whereabouts of our new home and also get some much needed exercise! But guys— I will definitely be SO excited when we finally are able to get a car! 😆💙
