Christmas tree in an XL planter🌲

I’ve been putting my Christmas tree in an oversized planter for a few years now, I love it (and so have you guys) so I have kept bringing it back!

I love the modern, sleek look and it is so much easier for piling gifts around. I bought a new Christmas tree this year and the stand was a little too big for this planter so I purchased a smaller one and it worked perfectly. The XL planter helps hold the tree in place so you really just need the stand to help keep your tree straight.

Less is more🌲👌🏼

For my family room Christmas tree I usually go for a more minimal look that feels effortless, simple and beautiful. I am in love with these velvet ornaments that sell out every year. To give them a more interesting look I used velvet ribbon to hang them. Then I found these premade velvet bows with handy gold twist ties, I love that they are ready to hang right out of the package.

Instead of using a traditional Christmas tree collar I have been putting my tree in an XL planter which really elevates the look.

TIPS;
•Decide on what type of Christmas tree you want to have (Fraser fir, Blue spruce, Balsam fir).
•Determine the base of your tree (traditional collar or an XL planter).
•Choose a colour scheme.

Natural and full! This year I wanted to create something a little different. I wanted a classic look that was really full and fluffy. I combined (2) 10 foot garlands with little lights.

I AM IN LOVE🫶🏼

This dimmable, 4 light, adjustable, matte brass, mango wood chandelier in white wash couldn’t be more gorgeous. It was the perfect finishing piece in the foyer. It really gives that ‘wow factor’ when you enter our home👌🏼

I struggled to find the perfect light fixture since our entry way only has 8 foot ceilings. I wanted something over sized that added a little drama (but it had to fit) this was no easy task. Then I came across this beauty and it is adjustable, so I was able to hang it up high enough that it works🙌🏼 If you have taller ceilings it comes with a chain so you can choose the height that works best for you.
