Quick rug tip... Dining room rugs should be large enough to cover the entire area under the table and beyond. There should be plenty of room for dinner guests to slide their chairs in and out without getting hooked or hung up on the edge of your rug. Y'all, my sweet Titan boy is having a hard time lately, and it's just breaking my heart 💔He is almost 13 and has degenerative myelopathy and it's just awful to watch it progress. I know we've been lucky that he has made it to this age as healthy as he has and I'm grateful. But my sweet boy is having more and more mobility and incontinence issues. We are meeting with a vet who specializes in geriatric and end-of-life care on Monday. Hoping she has some good suggestions for how to make the time we have left with him as amazing as possible.

I get asked A LOT about these wood chairs and where I got them. Well friends, I scored them for $22 at Goodwill. Not $22 each. $22 TOTAL 🤯But I have a bit of bad news about them 😭

We sanded them down, painted the metal bases (which was not super easy, I assure you) and repaired the spots where the bases attach to the seats so they no longer wobbled. They were a labor of love. But I could not possibly love them more. I mean, I'm truly obsessed with everything about them.
.
Here's the BAD NEWS. The wood repairs we made so that the bases would stay firmly attached without wobbling are failing 😢Head over to my stories to see what I mean.

Y'all, I can't stop laughing 😂😂😂Those of us who are "influencers/Instagrammers" can put so much pressure on ourselves to take beautiful photos to share on my feed (I don't even attempt beauty in my IG stories--I keep it almost too real in them 😜). At least I put a lot of pressure on myself. And I thought I snapped this photo at the perfect moment. The kitchen was clean and didn't have homework papers strewn all over the island. And the lighting looked good enough. But if you look closely you'll spy our random aloe plant on the dining room table 🤷🏼‍♀️LOL! Didn't mean for that to be in the shot, but what are you gonna do?
