Serve these soft pretzels at your next movie night or for football draft day / Sunday! 🥨 (recipe credits below) Pretzel Ingredients: •4 cups all-purpose flour, (extra for dusting and rolling) •1 ½ c warm water, around 115F •3 T butter, melted
•1 packet instant yeast •1 T sugar •1-2 t of salt
•1 egg Pretzel directions: •In a big bowl, stir warm water, butter, salt, sugar. (It is the best to have the temperature at 110F.) •Sprinkle the yeast across the surface of the mixture. Wait 10 minutes to allow the yeast to activate. •Add ½ cup of flour at a time into the big bowl and stir with a wooden spoon. When all the flour has been added, the dough should be sticky. Dust some flour onto a work surface and knead the dough for 3-4 minutes. Cut the dough into 4 or 8 equal pieces (depending on pretzel preference size). •Roll each piece of dough into long ropes, then twist and form into pretzel shapes. •Set dough aside and prepare the egg wash by mixing together an egg (and a T of butter if desired) to make the egg wash. •Brush the egg wash onto the entire pretzel. Repeat for all pretzels. •Add everything seasoning, or coarse salt if desired. •Spray the air-fryer basket with oil. Place pretzels into air fryer. •Set the air fryer to 375F and cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown on the outside. (We ended up doing almost 16 mins with our large pretzels.) Serve warm with cheese dip! (Recipe below) Dipping Cheese Ingredients: •1 T butter •1 T flour •1 c whole milk (or do 1/2 c whole milk and 1/2 c amber beer) •1 c shredded medium Cheddar Cheese shredded •1/2 tsp Salt Cheese directions: •Melt the butter over medium heat, then add the flour and stir for about a minute to form a paste. •Whisk in the milk (and beer) and stir until it thickens. •Remove from heat and whisk in cheddar cheese and salt until it’s smooth.
