Autumn’s most elegant hack 🍂

Today I’m sharing one of my favourite little elegant details. All you need is your favourite scarf and either a ring or a hoop earring.

This hack works really well for woolly scarf too, just use a bangle instead.

Is this a hack you would use? 🤔

A moment of stillness ☕️

Life hums in the background, but here it’s calm. Soft knit, warm coffee, muted tones. A small pause before everything begins again.

I always feel most at ease in quiet tones, gentle structure, thoughtful details, and fabrics made to last.

I would choose to wear this same look for coffee ten times over, rather than ten different outfits that don’t feel like me.

Sometimes elegance is in the art of slowing down - and making more deliberate choices.

ad | Let’s do workwear like a Scandi girl 🇸🇪

As someone born in Stockholm but living in the UK for the past 20 years, I’ve noticed some fascinating differences in how the two countries approach workwear.

When UK women dress smart - they really mean smart. And when they go casual, it’s properly casual.
Swedes, on the other hand, stay somewhere in the middle - smart casual, but in that effortlessly elegant, “I didn’t even try” kind of way.

The style leans slightly preppy, the tailoring more relaxed, and the details are everything. Cuts and quality are impeccable, but never loud.

All the pieces I’m wearing are from @lilysilk , one of my absolute favourite brands. I’ve worn their clothes for years. The quality and cut are consistently beautiful, and no matter if you’re English or Swedish, they will live up to your standards. (Use code “Tess20” for 20% off).

As someone with one foot in each culture, I love both styles and how distinct they are.

Fellow Scandi ladies, do you agree with my observations?

5 styling details elegant women use to elevate their outfits in autumn.

It’s the smallest details that make the biggest difference.

You don’t need a whole new wardrobe, just a few clever styling tricks that transform even your simplest outfit into something special. These are my five go-to accessories that instantly elevate any look.

1.Real leather gloves – Nothing adds quiet luxury quite like a beautifully made pair of gloves. They bring instant polish to coats and knits, while also adding that subtle touch of sophistication.

2. A bangle – One of my favourite ways to style a simple knit. Wear it over your sleeve or glove, or even use it to hold a scarf together. It adds structure and shine in such a subtle way.

3. A brooch – This is my secret weapon. Pin it to your jumper, scarf, coat or hat to add personality and depth. It’s an accessory that feels nostalgic and elegant all at once.

4. A silk scarf – There are so many ways to wear this piece, around your neck, in your hair, tied to your bag or even as a belt. It’s that finishing touch that always looks considered.

5. A wide belt – Perfect for cinching in blazers, trench coats or swapping out a coat belt for something more structured. It defines the silhouette beautifully and brings balance to layered outfits.

Each of these pieces helps you create that intentional, pulled-together feel we all love in elegant autumn dressing without needing to buy anything new.

Which of these styling details do you like more?

How to nail that elegant equestrian style this autumn 🐎

I’ve always loved the equestrian-inspired aesthetic. Not just because I enjoy horses and riding, but because it feels classic, timeless and enduring.

It’s a look that moves seamlessly from a weekend in the countryside to a day in the city. Structured yet soft, elegant yet approachable.

For me, the magic lies in the details. The cut of a blazer, the polish of a leather boot, the contrast between crisp shirting and rugged suede. These are the details that make an outfit feel quietly luxurious.

If you’ve been craving a timeless autumn wardrobe update, start here.
One blazer, one pair of classic boots, and one silk scarf and you’ll instantly capture that equestrian charm that never goes out of style.

Save this post as your next autumn outfit inspiration 🤍

The 3 fabrics I always hunt for in the sales 🤍

These materials are timeless, elegant and sustainable - but also some of the most expensive to buy at full price. That’s why I always keep an eye out for them when sale season begins (and even when shopping preloved).

Linen - Lightweight, breathable and full of texture. Perfect for shirts, blazers, trousers and sundresses. I wash all my linen at home and keep a steamer close, since it creases easily.

Silk - My favourite fabric of all. Smooth, soft and luminous. Nothing feels more luxurious on the skin. Some silks can be hand washed, others need dry cleaning, but they all respond beautifully to steaming.

Cashmere - The ultimate wool. Soft, warm, never itchy. It insulates in winter while still being breathable. I wash mine at 30°C with wool detergent and dry flat, a towel on underfloor heating works wonders.

If your wardrobe holds linen, silk and cashmere, you already own some of the most luxurious and sustainable pieces possible.

A week of wearing skirts in autumn 🍂

Which day’s look do you prefer?

Autumn is actually a skirt season,
The trick is all in the styling. Pair your lighter skirts with cosy knits, boots, and rich layers to make them work far beyond summer.

Here are a few ways to keep them chic through the colder months:

1. Balance feminine cuts with structured coats.

2. Swap sandals for knee-high or ankle boots.

3. Play with textures — wool, cashmere, and leather elevate instantly.

4. Add high quality tights for warmth without losing elegance.

A skirt isn’t just for summer - styled right, it becomes a piece not to ignore in your autumn wardrobe.

5 items I’m wearing on repeat in October 🤎

Would you rather own item 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5?

I find it so fascinating how we are drawn to the colours from the outside in the autumn. The browns, beiges, reds and yellows.

These 5 very autumnal coloured items will be worn often during this time.

1. The rich chocolate coloured wool turtleneck by @selfwhoofficial

Use code “Montgomery” for 15% off or “Montgomery66” for 20% off if you buy two items or more.

2. My new taupe/hazelnut bag from @demellierlondon

3. The incredibly o blood coloured cropped trench in leather by @reiss that was my #OneItemaMonth in August.

4. My tan leather @ralphlauren ballet flats that was my One Item A Month in September.

5. And last but not least, my trusted silk scarf by a brand that unfortunately isn’t trading anymore (Alva Norge).

These are the 5 pairs of shoes I’d invest in first if I had to build my capsule wardrobe again from the ground up. They’re timeless, versatile and cover every season and occasion:

1. Smart white sneakers - The ultimate everyday shoe. They work with denim, tailored trousers, skirts and even summer dresses. Leather feels more elevated, while fabric pairs can be refreshed easily in the wash.

2. Nude pumps - Elegant and seasonless. A nude heel works with every colour palette and feels right year-round. My golden rule for comfort: never go higher than 8.5 cm.

3.Flat knee-high boots - Sleek, practical and incredibly flattering. They instantly pull an outfit together and are perfect once the weather turns cooler.

4. Classic ballet flats - Light, feminine and chic. Ideal for those days when you want polish without heels. I often keep a pair in my bag to swap into at the end of the day.

5. Heeled tall boots – Nothing beats them for leg-lengthening proportions. They’re glamorous, practical for winter nights out, and perfect when you want to feel dressed up but still warm.

These 5 pairs alone will take you through the whole year and almost any dress code, which is exactly what a capsule wardrobe should do: simplify your choices without compromising style.

My #OneItemaMonth purchase in August is….

This incredible oxblood leather cropped trench jacket 👌🏻

At first I was going to skip my August item and save the budget for something more expensive later in the year. However, when I came across this jacket I knew I had to get it.

A cropped trench in leather like this one is a more elegant version of the classic biker jacket.

The texture of the leather will make any look so much more interesting. And the design with the large lapels and collar has a structural quality that makes for a great silhouette.

I can’t wait to style this jacket in my autumn and winter looks!

Price vs Value? ✨

One of the most important distinctions to make when shopping is between price and value.

Price is simple — it’s the upfront cost we all see on the tag. Fixed and the same for everyone.

Value, however, is deeply personal. It depends on your lifestyle, your budget, and how much use you’ll truly get from a piece.

A great way to measure value is by looking at cost per wear. Before buying, ask yourself: how many times will I realistically wear this? Then divide the price by that number.

This is where quality and timeless design matter most. A well-made, classic piece will give you years of wear, while a trendy or poorly made one will cap out quickly - either by breaking or going out of style.

With this approach, you can confidently spend more of your budget on the items that will serve you every day, and less on those you’ll only reach for occasionally.

If this was helpful, tap the like button so I know to create more videos like this. 🤍

#ad | 3 key items in my autumn wardrobe 🍁

It doesn’t really matter if I have a lot of clothes in my wardrobe, if I don’t have these 3 things come fall, I will struggle.

Some pieces are just more versatile than others and will be worn a lot more than the rest.

My turtleneck jumper, blazer and coat is all by @selfwhoofficial. I love that the jumper is 100% wool, the oversized fit of the blazer (that button detail!) and the length and built-in scarf of the coat. Truly timeless pieces that will end up with a great Price Per Wear.

Use code “Montgomery” for 15% off or “Montgomery66” for 20% off when you buy 2 items or more.

So if you are going to invest in only 3 pieces for your autumn wardrobe, make it a lightweight 100% wool turtleneck, a blazer to act as a smart jacket when the weather still allows and a long cosy warm coat to hide bare legs under.

Do you have more use for the jumper, blazer or the coat?

My 5 best styling tips if you want to look taller 👆🏻

As an ex model who is only 5’5 I have had to learn a lot of clever little hacks to look taller than I am.

In fact, that’s one of the first thing people tell me when they meet me “- I thought you were a lot taller!”.

There are a few little tricks to play with proportions and give the illusion of a longer looking body.

It’s about the cuts we pick and how we wear and style the clothes.

If you found this useful, please make sure to follow me! And why not send this reels to a petite friend who might find it interesting?

3 elegant old money style looks for fall 🍂

All the favourite autumn looks are coming back out again and I’m loving rediscovering my wardrobe.

I don’t believe in following trends in shades, but I can definitely feel the shift in what I’m drawn to based on the season.

In autumn my focus goes from the whites and blues to camels, tans, mauves, beiges and browns. Warm inviting colours that mirrors the leaves on the trees.

All 3 looks are warm and cosy, but still looks elegant and put together. You don’t have to choose between being warm and looking good.

Is look 1, 2 or 3 more your personal style? 🤔

Let’s steal some autumnal old money looks from pinterest 🤎

If you are feeling a bit low on creativity, or stuck with your wardrobe. Go to Pinterest, find 3 looks you really love and challenge yourself to recreate them with items you already have in your wardrobe.

It doesn’t have to be exact and you might have to fill in the blanks a bit, but I find that most of the time it works out really well.

This little exercise helps you look at the pieces you already own differently. With some inspiration and creativity, our wardrobes go a lot further than we think. Imagine all the different outfit combinations you haven’t tried yet!

Do you prefer look 1, 2 or 3?

The season of the statement coat 🍂
I always recommend to spend a bit more money on your outerwear as you are going to be wearing it often and it should truly represent your personal style.

Few pieces in our wardrobes get as much use as our coats here in the UK. So we better make sure we really love the ones we choose to buy.

Right now is the perfect time to invest in a statement coat. Before we cover ourselves in layers upon layers, but still need something warmer when we go outside.

I come back to these 3 coats/capes year after year. And as they are personal style items and not trends, they never feel dated.

Do you prefer coat 1, 2, or 3?

5 key skills of those with great style.

There is this misconception that some people are just born with great style. This is not true. Style is a skill, it has been acquired.

The good news is that if they can do it, so can you.

Here are the 5 top skills that people with great style possess.

1. They understand shades, colours and the difference between warm, cool and neutral undertones. This often comes from experimenting with putting different coloured items together and seeing what looks good. Sounds basic? It is, but it works.

2. They understand the colour of texture. If colour is 2D, texture is 3D. It’s the next level that makes an outfit more interesting. Especially if you pick one shade, then it’s extra important to mix up the textures. The general rule is matte against shiny and rough against soft.

3. People with great style understands proportions. This will be unique to us all as we have different heights and body shapes to work with. What might work for me might not look as good on you.
Just knowing what waist height or ankle length is more flattering on your body will make a world of difference.

4. The next skill to know is fit. Not to be confused with “fitted”. Yes, you need your fitted items to have the right fit. But something oversized can still fit you. It depends on the look you are going for. The fit has to be intentional, you chose for it to fit you a specific way for the overall feel of the outfit.

5. Last but not least you need to be able to accessorise. And the great thing here is that there is soooo much choice. You can give 100 people the same base outfit and the results can still be wildly different after they have accessorised. This is where personal style really shines. Every little accessory you add is like showing a little piece of you.

I hope you found this useful, and if you did, please give it a ❤️ so I know to make more of these.
And save it for when you might need the reminder!

I’m still to turn up in my PJs or home clothes, but I’m sure it will happen someday when I’m super late. 🤷🏼‍♀️

We often have sport fixtures to watch before pickup or coffee mornings to attend after drop off. So I try to make the effort.

Most of the time I revert back to these 5 tried and tested looks that are super quick to throw on but still looks fairly put together.

As an ex-shopaholic myself, I know how hard it can be to even know where to start figuring out your personal style and build a wardrobe you are truly proud of.

Trends, dos and don’ts, overfilled wardrobes and other peoples opinions can be really tricky to deal with at first.

The main thing to keep in mind is to be intentional.
No one but you can make your dream wardrobe come true.

But I can help guide you along the way.

Little tools like price per wear, resell value, clear outs and one item a month will give you a much clearer path to follow.

So use my account as a toolbox to give you all the knowledge you need to figure out your personal style and build your own dream wardrobe.
You should never mix black and brown… right?

If we listened to all these nonsense fashion “rules” people come up with then we wouldn’t be able to wear much at all.

Some people use “don’t do this”, “you shouldn’t wear that” as a way to build fake authority in the fashion space. As if they somehow would know better than you.

It’s absolute poppycock.

All style is personal. So either none of us are experts or we all are.

So you take your expertise in your own personal style and wear exactly what you think looks and feel best on you. We all die in the end anyway, so why not live a little whilst we can.

Hit the like button if you agree ❤️

Shades of chocolate are autumn’s quiet luxury — from creamy whites to the deepest 80% extra dark.

These tones bring warmth, richness, and a sense of comfort to our wardrobes, while still feeling refined and elevated.

I love them in autumn because they mirror the season itself: cosy textures, earthy depth, and timeless sophistication. Whether you lean towards creamy latte shades or indulgent dark cocoa, chocolate tones create the perfect foundation for an elegant, versatile capsule.

For me, I like it as bitter and dark as it comes, what is your favourite type of chocolate? 🍫

Hey you guys, I’m a fiancé!! 🤯

Early morning, in the middle of the ocean somewhere along the coast of the French Riviera, with some big rocks, a humongous bouquet of flowers and my favorite champagne, @warrenmeliax asked me if I would marry him.

His hands were shaking, the waves had me lose my balance half way through and almost knock the ring overboard… it was perfect.

He had organised it all so well, been stressing and fretting to get everything just right. My answer included a swear word, and a loud YES.

Honestly, who could ever say no to Warren. He is the kindest, most supportive, thoughtful, emotionally intelligent, loving, and caring person I know. Kind of hot too… 😏

And I get to marry him! 🙌🏻

We decided on the 3 stones for the ring together. One for my son, one for his daughter and a big one in the middle for the unity of our families.

If you want to see how it happened, go back and have a look at my reels from last night. It’s sooo funny how many missed it as it flickered past pretty quickly. A few eagle eyed ladies spotted it and left lovely comments (Thank you for all your kindness ) 🤍

Now I can post all the videos ans photos I have from the trip where the ring is visible 🤣 (I had one person comment and ask when I put up a photo where you can kind of see it last week. I can’t keep any secrets from you!)
