It’s wild how this faux stone wall transformation took under 10 hours and just a few hundred dollars 😳
The result? A modern bedroom accent wall that looks totally designer — without the price tag.

Here’s how I did it:
1️⃣ Frame a faux wall with 2x4s + panel board for added depth
2️⃣ Paint in a rich, moody shade for contrast
3️⃣ Attach faux stone panels with a brad nailer
4️⃣ Shave, caulk + touch up seams with paint for a natural look
5️⃣ Add LED strip lighting for that cozy glow ✨

No mantel? No problem. Here’s how to fake it the chic + easy way ✨

1️⃣ Place hooks – Use heavy-duty pin hooks along the wall or trim where a mantel would sit (one on each end, one in the middle, plus every 16–24”).
2️⃣ Tie + drape – Attach twine to your garland for easy hanging + adjusting.
3️⃣ Hang + shape – Secure twine to the hooks and fluff until it falls naturally.
4️⃣ Layer for fullness – Add ribbon, stems, or ornaments for a designer look.
5️⃣ Clean removal – Twist out hooks after the holidays; pin holes are barely visible.
