After the 4th of July holiday is usually when I give my garden a reset and my petunias are no exception. They start to look tired and “leggy”. That means the foliage is sparse and clustered on the ends. I cut mine back about a third of the way, fertilize and water. This will help bring your petunias back fuller and live longer through the season. Use clean clippers when cutting back to prevent spreading disease.
