Making a point this week to slow down, and breathe.

Personally I’ve been so busy lately and with all the chaos I felt this was the perfect time to make this post. Now that the weathers finally breaking I think it’s important we remind ourselves that nature is its own medicine.

Nature has a way of slowing us down, helping us step away from the chaos of everyday life and reconnect with the present moment. The sights, sounds, and scents of the outdoors naturally calm the nervous system and lower stress levels. And when you have a dog by your side, the experience becomes even more rewarding—dogs not only keep us moving, but their joyful energy and companionship make every walk feel a little lighter and more meaningful.

What to take with you // some travel musts even for day trips

1. Skouts Honor Probiotic Deodorizer for wet days when that dog smell is ever so present. When traveling in cars or confined spaces this is more than a mask to cover the smell. Dogs typically have a ‘wet dog’ smell because of bacteria build up on their skin. When wet the smell is stronger, this tackles the problem itself without covering it

2. Wrinkle wipes/paw wipes (just for cleaning purposes especially this time of year when pollen is in the air. These are great to quickly wipe down their faces and feet before getting back in the car. Shaped like cotton swab pads you can get into smaller areas easier

3. First aid kit! Never leave the house without this one. I’ve learned from experience you just never know when you’ll need it. Better safe than sorry! This one is specifically a dog first aid kit with bandages, wound care and tweezers/tools.

4/5/6: Styptic powder, hydrocortisone cream and liquid bandage by DogsWell. Also add-ons for the first aid kit. When hiking, these are super handy to have, again it’s always better to be safe than sorry when traveling. If you’re deep in the woods, or miles from the next vet - be prepared with these tools
