I layered the brass metal wreath I used for fall over a faux pine wreath to create the perfect winter door decor, topped with a velvet ribbon bow.

I'm going to be completely honest, I didn't switch out my pumpkins for pine trees until December 21st, the day we were hosting our extended family's Christmas party and I don't feel bad about it.

While I simplified our front porch decor this year out of time constraints, I’m actually really happy with the look.

I also snagged some gorgeous faux stems from Target early in the season, along with another inexpensive vase from Walmart, to create the perfect island centerpiece.

As the fall decor clearing makes its way through our house, next up is our kitchen which primary consisted of adding pumpkins of different colors, sizes, and textures.

I did replace our chipped pasta bowls with brown Better Home and Garden ones from Walmart and added a beautiful dark green and copper kettle from Hearth and Hand with Magnolia from Target to the everyday mix.

My rule of thumb for styling our open kitchen shelves is to use everyday, functional items like mixing bowls, pinch bowls, trivets, and colander on the lower self and less used and decorative items like large measuring cups, biscuit cutters, recipe books, deviled egg trays, and baking ingredients on the top self.
