Life lately🍂

Dorothy has started to lay the prettiest petite pink eggs.
Work has been blooming beautifully with orders @lapetitefleurgnv - stay tuned for workshops!
The girls are still laying the prettiest shades of green with speckles.
Tulip and Marigold our dairy heifers- still sweet as ever. We’re hoping they are bred- we’ll have them checked in the next month or two.
Cooler evenings means more time outside on the farm to bond with everyone.
More flowers, fall baked goods including this apple fritter loaf and fall pears in a farmers market haul.
Last but not least- Sampsons great escape! He visited the school next door until he was roped out by a couple of cowboys. He’s back at our farm tending to his ladies 🐂

I’ve been eyeing these terracotta pumpkins for a while now and just couldn’t justify spending $80 plus on one pumpkin! Although I’m sure they are worth it.

I remember watching a few tutorials last year on the cement ones but thought why not terracotta!? After all there is terracotta paint! This was so easy and took me less than 20 minutes and less than $50 for all 3 that I’ve done. Girl math just saved me $150😅

I’ve never been so happy to spend my Saturdays back at the farmer’s market. I picked up so much produce and two beautiful bouquets of flowers today. This is such a great way to help support our local farmers and get a few hours of fresh air. Chris stumbled upon this beautiful wildflower field. I’m always in awe of wildflowers- they are often overlooked until you see them beautifully scattered upon fields and popping up on the road side. I dream of having this view scattered upon our property one day. There are so many things I love and a beautiful view outside is one of them. I’ve spent the last few weeks planting, seeding, perfecting our landscape to be a place we always admire. Spent the remainder of my evening outside after a very long work week. For the life of me.. I could not figure out which day it was this week! When you’re home bound you just make the best of it🍾 we had a little soirée outdoors yesterday that involved a pretty setting, my favorite rosé and Georgie. I also realized that I don’t have nearly enough floral linens and I should probably add to my collection. I went to link this table cloth but the Tj maxx website is down during quarantine. It’s by Ralph Lauren and I did manage to find one on amazon and plenty on EBay. It still seems so surreal to say quarantine- strange times we’re in. How are you passing the time? It’s hard to finds words to alleviate the emotions we’re all sorting through. It seems like a mountain of Unknowns and uncertainties but we’ll persevere through it all in time. My manager mentioned today that I have a fashion blog in the middle of the meeting this morning- I was somewhat taken aback as I never really thought of it as fashion but more so just lifestyle. I try to incorporate things I love to do -but things I also love. It’s not out of the ordinary for me to stroll like this through the farmers market, or wear dresses to garden and tend to the animals- it’s just my lifestyle. One of my favorite accessories to wear out and about is a scarf- clad in floral print is a must. There’s so many versatile and practical ways to wear it - especially for what I do. One of my favorite finds lately is this blue and white floral print scarf from @sarahflint - I’ve worn it for the last 5 days (including in the garden) if you’ve followed me for a while you know I’m a huge fan of @sarahflint when it comes to shoes- naturally I was thrilled about the addition of new scarves. According to the future weather forecast... spring has officially arrived. Which means for me that I can officially pull out my spring dresses and all things floral print. This is by far my favorite season!🌸 I can’t wait to blend in with my landscape🌸 Rose update: I’m still pending 6 roses (because I bought yet another rose) they should be arriving early April. I’m still working on the rose garden, wine trellises (I mean grape) and a hundred other garden beds... I’ll try to share the progress (although not pretty -yet)

The past few weeks we’ve been so busy in the garden and working on plans for our landscape. If you know me- there is always a new project. The last few days have been a whirlwind with going out of town for a work conference, to work being so busy that I’m non-stop, to coming home and realizing I have a million plus chores to do. After getting through most of my winter pruning yesterday- I managed to get myself together to take this photo and make a floral arrangement with the roses I cut.(a feat in itself) Tonight I finally have a chance to unwind a bit... bath, glass of wine... maybe an episode of “You”... I never need a special occasion to throw on a fancy dress💃 One of my favorite designers @johannaortiz collaborated with @H&M so, naturally I had to snag a dress.
