It’s Sunday drives in an old land rover with leather seats worn in, a Barbour jacket and long walks, a tweed blazer and riding boots. It’s a fire warming a paneled room and a soft chesterfield, worn with time to utter perfection and a tartan blanket for that added cozy factor. I cannot get over how GOOD these Amazon Prime Big Deal Days finds are! This is everything I love about a classic home: warm woods, beautiful aged brass, traditional artwork, soft linen, natural textures, and just enough pattern to make the space feel layered and interesting.

I have a theory about a leather chair. It changes a room and it changes you. There is something about the way you sink into it, the way it wraps around you, the way it makes you want to sit in your pajamas (I’ll take mine horse printed, please !) and read a book and sip your coffee and just unwind. It makes the room feel like it could last forever and time will only improve upon its condition, something I think we all hope will be the same of us as well. It feels intelligent, like somehow we are smarter, too, just for owning one. And it’s warm like a big hug.

Omgggg look at this beautiful “over shirt” (Jack calls these “swackets” patent pending 😂) I just got in after i returned the first one because it was a bit oversized. This is the size 2 and I normally do smalls in jackets and tops and it was soooo worth getting it just right! I am freaking over the tartan and it’s sooooo cozy!! I have it paired up with coated brown pants today but I wore it yesterday with my Ralph Lauren wide jeans and that was soooo cuuute too!!
