We always know we’re close to completing a room when it’s curtain install time! Once again we are installing our favorite pinch pleat curtains from @twopagescurtains in our dining room. #GiftedByTwoPages

These are the Liz linen curtains in ivory white and they are the perfect off white color but also have a lovely subtle texture to them. They might be my favorite in curtains in our home yet.

We knew we needed to dress up our thermostat since it lives in the dining room and definitely was not fitting the vibe. After a few simple steps, we’ve got a thermostat that is a lot cuter and feels more like a piece of the room decor.

The most time consuming part about this DIY was patching the wall, priming, and painting! But this is a quick project that can be completed in less than a day.

We’ve rounded up our favorite round frames that fit around the nest, including the frame and command strips we used for ours.

We’d had our eyes on a bubble chandelier for years and I’m so excited we finally got to install one in our dining room. The one we purchased is designer inspired, sourced from Amazon at such a reasonable price! Definitely a lux look for less.

Not to mention it was also fun process to install and figure out how we wanted to distribute the small vs big globes. It’s totally up to you! It’s the perfect finishing touch to the accent ceiling in our dining room.

For door hardware at our new front door, we were on the hunt for something with smart technology that still maintained a traditional look. This lead me down a long rabbit hole of lots and lots of options, most of which weren’t available in a nice brass finish. We decided on this @schlagelocks satin brass handleset and deadbolt, paired with the technology of @levelhome level bolt (used hidden inside our deadbolt lock). We saw our double height and large blank wall in our library as an opportunity to create a unique gallery wall that felt personal to us. We found these lovely architectural intaglios from a small business on Etsy and it was all the inspiration we needed. This gallery wall could be recreated with any intaglio or object that feels personal to you, and that’s what we love about it!

We couldn’t setup our Christmas village without lighting it! We had to come up with a creative way to light all of the buildings and houses without using cords so we picked up some battery powered lights that can also be set to a timer. We thought it only made sense to share our favorite clamps this week since we’re talking about our box trim accent wall. If you’ve followed us for a while, you know how often we use these clamps! We use them for every single trim project we do (doors, windows, crown, bay window, box trim) and they make the process so much easier for us.

So glad we found the $10,000 set of inspo cabinets because this was such a fun challenge to build these from scratch. The biggest lesson learned here is nothing is too intimidating to take on, especially if you’re willing to put the time and effort into it. We gained a few tools and new skills from this build and we’re ready to apply it to our future projects throughout our home!

We find ourselves reaching for the center punch tool more often than we ever expected! It is so convenient and helps make drilling pilot holes more accurate. It especially comes in handy when you’re mounting door hardware for a kitchen or something like the walnut cabinets we just built.
