Did you see the northern lights? ✨⬇️

Last night a solar storm lit up the night sky lit up the sky not only in Arizona, but all around the world! 😍

A dramatic blast from the sun set off the high level geomagnetic storm that was able to be seen from places in the United States like Southern California and Florida.

It is the strongest storm since 2003 and had the potential to interfere with power grids, communications and navigations systems all over the world!

There also may be potential for more Northern Lights potential through the weekend!

Make sure to share this with someone who needs to keep an eye out on the sky this wekeend!

PS: Capturing the Northern Lights on a whim is harder than it looks 😂

No one told me Europe had this many hills…🙃

I just got back from a recent trip to Europe, and let me tell you my legs are tired!

Unless it’s over an hour of walking — I don’t believe in Uber/public transit😂

During my trip, I was averaging 10-15 miles per day walking from sight to sight!

Either you are going up or coming down from these gigantic slopes in the middle of the cities 😅

Last Summer, we experienced the same thing too, but we were still shocked at how steep each city was😂

You don’t want to miss this in Norway 😍⬇️

📍 Oslo, Norway - @visitoslo

Last month, I planned a last minute trip to Norway to explore the beautiful city of Oslo.

When I was researching things to do, the number one thing that kept appearing was experiencing the water front floating saunas on the Oslo Fjord.

I mean after all, a cold dip into the Fjord should be accompanied by a dry place to warm back up.

So, I gave it a shot and booked my experience with @madgoats_norway through @getyourguide and had the absolute best time!

When I first arrived to the sauna, I was quickly welcomed by some locals from Oslo who shared that they do this weekly (even in the winter🤯).

It was an overall great experience!

You can either start with a cold plunge or warm in the sauna until you are brave enough to endure the crisp outside air and cold water of the Oslo Fjord.

I started with the sauna and worked my way towards taking a dip into the Oslo Fjord.

Truthfully, it took a lot of courage and hyping myself in the sauna to get out there and take a dip but I did it!

The water temperate for the day was about 43°F…

AND it felt like it 🥶

It was refreshing, electrifying, and freezing all at the same time!

But just like any ice bath, it is the best feeling in the world! It almost feels like a weight is lifted off of your chest.

I would 10/10 come back and visit the floating saunas again!

My FAVORITE Countries of Summer 2023 ⬇️🌎

In Summer 2023, JT and I left Arizona (to get out of the heat) and travel around Europe for a little over two months. For the trip, we each had a 28L @cotopaxi Allpa backpack, and a little fanny pack – that’s it.

Throughout the two months, we traveled to nearly 20 countries, and went to two continents. We ate some of the best food of our lives & met some of the most fun/genuine people we’ve ever met.

Here are some of our favorites from last Summer:

📍Kotor, Montenegro - @visit_montenegro

As weird as it sounds, I had the best pasta of my life here. Not being dramatic – it was that good. Besides the good food, we loved getting to hike the city walls and swim in the beautiful water. Truly a dream destination. A local guide also helped me get over my fear of swimming in the ocean here by telling me submarine vs shark statistics…really appreciated that one😂

📍Kyoto, Japan - @visit_kyoto

Japan had been a bucket list destination for both of us for a very long time & it exceeded all expectations. We were so thrilled to be there and soaked in every second. We ate soooo much food too – we even went to a Michelin recognized gyoza restaurant😂

📍Edinburgh, Scotland - @visitscotland

We started the Summer in Inverness & ended it in Edinburgh for fringe fest. Seriously, some of the most amazing sights and cool weather. If you’ve never heard of Fringe Fest, it’s a festival where actors, playwrights, musicians, street performers, and more come together. You can attend plays, or spend the entire day wandering the streets watching performances. It was absolutely wonderful!

With all of these cool places, so many fun memories happened off camera as well. It was a Summer I’ll never forget & it’s a constant reminder to do what you love 🫶🏻

So even if you can’t travel a lot, I encourage you to do what makes you happy & create some memories!
