A moment for the standing desk and the iPad setup.
Starting this new business, I had to create a workspace that worked for me. I had to return my laptop to my school when I left teaching, so I opted for this iPad work station so I could take it on consultations with me and easily walk clients through contracts and inspiration photos.
I am also so happy I got this adjustable IKEA desk because sometimes I just work better standing up!
I can’t believe I get to work here!

Trying out @starbucks espresso roast k-cups. I didn’t even know they were a thing. I’m on the brink of buying my own espresso machine but thought I would try these out first.
Opinion? Not bad at all. Not as bold as the @nespresso version of this blend but still yummy and my drink was gone in about 60 seconds.

Thought I would clean-up and change the sheets in my teenager’s bedroom tonight while she was at practice. I love doing things like this for them once in awhile that make them fall in love with their room all over again.
I also finally got her a curtain for her weird closet doorway. It’s too strange a size for a normal closet door so this curtain works great for now to hide her (surprisingly not too messy) closet.

Is it weird that I needed this office makeover to relax into my summer?
School ended with soooo much stuff all over our house and I literally could not chill until it was all put away. I channeled my teacher energy and labeled EVERYTHING in this new closet system and let me tell you-
It. Feels. So. Good.
Fresh paint. Organization. Blank slate. Space to create.
This is where I shall start my new career.
Look out.
(For now, I’m under another 2 weeks of mandatory relaxation). 😎😎😎
