I keep these rechargeable hand warmers in my coat pockets at all times. I'm not kidding when I say they heat up in 2 seconds - all the way up to 131°F (they have 3 different temp settings). The charge lasts for 20 hours so I really only charge them once a week. They're super handy for winter walks, errands in the city, and chilly sporting events. They come in 6 different color options too!

After trying on more than two dozen pairs of winter boots for women from brands like Sorel, UGG, The North Face, Pajar, Hunter, Inuikii, Merrell, Laidback London and Mou (and, yes, clomping around my house for days in each), I found 8 pairs I can wholeheartedly recommend. This built in bra camisole is the staple piece of my wardrobe — the one around which most of my outfits revolve. It’s my problem-solving undergarment/bra/base layer that I literally wear on a daily basis.

The Hanro cami is incredibly comfortable, especially since it removes the necessity to wear multiple layers. The bra portion doesn’t pinch on the sides, and the cami adds an extra layer of warmth without adding bulk. So, instead of layering a tank over a bra under my sweaters, I just wear the bra cami.

Just tried out these stretchy under $100 barrel jeans from Social Threads & they're just as good as I hopped. They fit TTS. I'm 5'3" and wearing a size 28.

Why this outfit really works for winter:

1. Effortless winter warmth. The pieces are warm on their own & layer well without feeling bulky.

2. Perfect proportions! A shorter coat balances wider denim (and even a longer sweater like mine) sooo well.

3. Texture mixing = instant interest. Wool coat + chunky knit sweater + denim + haircalf flats is a combo that isn’t too loud yet still has personality.

4. Color harmony. Camel + chocolate + denim blue + a pop of print is timeless.

Holiday Outfit Inspo: Chocolate brown is obviously having a moment, and I couldn't not try these two skirts the second I saw them. The color feels a little more unexpected than black but still crazy versatile–it works with almost every cozy sweater in my closet. Ok so this little gem of a jacket won out as my actual favorite! I’ve loved my Pippa puffer for a couple of years, but this one might be even beter?! The color is stunning (also comes in black and ivory) and the fit is great. It’s a perfect in-between weight, not too thin not too thick (still packable) and has a little cinch option at the bottom of the jacket so you can stave out the chill if you want.

I'm in the middle of trying on TONS of everyday cute boots for an upcoming post, and these are bubbling up to the top as favorites (and they're on sale!). Now on sale at Nordstrom for $21! I always gravitate toward jewelry that's not-too-sweet, and something about this oversized ball chain (I think that's my quasi-skater millennial girl showing) with contrasting bubble hearts spoke to me.

It's playful and fun and still dresses up sweatshirts and like while pulling together all the other mixed metals I wear. The weight feels great -- not at all chintzy. A fun way to update the usual winter uniform.
