This past week felt a little different in the best way.
Josh was away on a work trip, and my mom came to stay with us—and it reminded me just how powerful it is to have two women under one roof when the house is the work and the kids are the priority.

There were quiet moments where we weren’t even talking.
Just folding laundry side by side, changing sheets, keeping the kitchen moving, resetting the house as we went. And somehow, everything felt lighter. Like the house was running on its A-game.

As excited as we are for Josh to come home, this time with my mom was such a gift. Unhurried. Helpful. Full of presence. The kind of quality time you don’t realize you needed until you’re in it.
