storytime: how I found out I had kidney disease at 23. 😵‍💫
I thought I was just tired and bloated… turns out my kidneys were failing.

these past few months of my life have completely flipped upside down 🙃 taking care of my mental health has been a full time job so having a sudden, serious physical health problem on top of it all is a new territory for me.

i started showing symptoms of nephrotic syndrome in May & eventually got diagnosed with Minimal Change Disease. i started treatment and hopefully ill go into remission soon!!!

i didn’t plan on posting about this but i think this is an important story as to why you should advocate for your health, especially as black women. they be ready to send us HOME.
