I’ve converted 50+ incandescent high hats in my home to LED. So much bang for the buck — ceilings look higher and it just looks more modern, plus i was able to select my ideal color temp. For most, I used the 4 pack of dimmable LEDs that allow you to select color temp (approx. $5.75 each). For some bathrooms I used the version with nightlight mode (approx $17 each). For showers, I used the one with bacteria killing function (approx $60 each). The 3 step stepstool / ladder is amazing — lightweight, large platform to stand on and incredibly useful utility tray — and I (5’4) was able to reach to install these in 9 foot ceilings. I needed the 4 step ladder for 10 foot ceilings — also a good ladder but utility tray isn’t as useful. You need to wear protective glasses and may need a small Phillips screw driver. Once I got the hang of it, I could swap a light in under 2 minutes.
