Day two of the cold spell. This little packable down jacket travels with me everywhere. It’s great over work out clothes, layered under a heavier cloth coat to give added warmth. Or just as a down cardigan of sorts. Here I paired it with my Spanx air essentials sweats, and it was perfect.

Sunday brunch with our parents in Florida. I like wearing versions of cream or white in the winter in Florida, but in a heavier fabrication like this short sleeve cashmere sweater. I also am so impressed with these shoes. It’s a really nice looking ballet flat with an elongated toebox and little elastic straps that help them stay on. And I’m so impressed with myself, I did not drip anything on my white outfit while I was eating, lol.

Our New Year’s tradition for the past few has been to make dinner at home and then go to the casino together. This year, my heart was extra happy because I had a full house of people I love. But the weather was super cold, at least by Florida standards. So I had to wear boots and socks, and a leather jacket. It was a great time, even though Lady luck did not have my back that night, lol.

Ever take your clothes for a walk? No, I don’t mean grabbing a leash and heading outside!

When I bring a new piece home, like this blouse, I immediately “walk” it through my wardrobe. I hold it up against different textures and colors to see what actually works together. It’s my favorite way to verify that a new purchase is going to play nice with the rest of my closet.

By doing this, I found that this blouse looked amazing with a specific pair of jeans and suddenly, I had my outfit base ready to go. It makes adding shoes and accessories so much easier!
