Maple Sweetened Applesauce Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
• 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
• 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 3/4–1 charms

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, whisk together applesauce, maple syrup, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
3. In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt.
4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
5. Fold in charms.
6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the baking sheet and flatten slightly.
7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
8. Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
