#ad Pandemic schooling - here we go! We decided to make the switch to 100% online and I’m actually feeling OK about it. Simon will definitely gain computer literacy, and Betsy is super excited to have her brother home and I’ll be doing some pre-k/kinder level homeschooling with her. Getting ready for the school year included cute new track suits and sneakers (kiddos will be looking fab on our morning bike ride and doing their studies!) plus school supplies, organization and some teaching aids. Between Walmart’s awesome selection with tons of stuff eligible for next day delivery, 2-day delivery or free pickup I found everything I needed and didn’t have to wait a long time! We spent a few days at a lake house in MI with family and my niece and I stayed busy tie dying!!! I got Tulip tie dye kits (and soda ash which makes the colors more vibrant) at @walmart and most of the stuff we tie dyed from @walmart too! I got a 50 pack of masks from @amazon. We did a bunch of reverse tie dye which involves rubber banding your items damp, then spraying 50/50 bleach and water on to bleach the design out, rinsing and washing and then dying the bleached out part. #ad Preparing for the unknown sucks. Hybrid? E-learning? Homeschooling? Who the heck knows from hour to hour. Last year Simon started at a charter school that we ended up loving and as of now they’re offering a hybrid choice with kids in the classroom two days a week and e-learning the other three days so when I did “back to school” shopping from @walmartfashion I planned for that - some uniforms, new shoes because he’s growing, new backpack because he hadn’t gotten one since preschool, and he picked out that cute tracksuit for at home!
