I worked on my holiday mantel today. I’m going simple and elegant this year with a twig cedar garland layered over a drapey cedar garland (2 of each), gold bead garland and a gorgeous velvet ribbon in dark gold. My garlands meet in the middle; I added a cedar swag to hide that. You could also use cedar stems. I topped it with two sets of 100 count battery fairy lights.
