Yes, the tray is important. It grounds your arrangement and adds additional interest. I use vintage wood or tarnished silver trays, marble or rattan like this $15 one. The scallop edge adds additional charm. I’m using the new Target vase and fall dahlias plus a Michael’s filler stem, in similar tones, in my arrangement. These are all $5 stems. Add your florals at different heights and pull a few strands of the seed stems forward for a natural, loose style.

My screened porch is done, styled and being enjoyed! When I built my home two years ago, I had planned a deck. After living in my home a bit, I decided on screened and extended it two feet. Which meant the roof gable needed to be rebuilt and extended. It was fun to watch that process. .

The berry stem is one of my favorite stems for fall. It’s available in a variety of colors and two lengths. These stems are gorgeous and full, so they’re easy to style. A favorite filler stem is a faux fig. It works for any season and pairs nicely with the berry stems. I love this combo and you don’t need a lot. I’m using two fig stems and three berry stems in my large vase. My vase is vintage; any large vase will work.
