What I wore to see the broadway play Hadestown. The spanx leather leggings I am wearing are a staple in my wardrobe. I wear them probably 1x a week. Definitely worth the investment. They go up to plus size 3X and come in tall and petite as well. I linked some more affordable options below as well. I am also a huge fan of commando leggings (also worth the investment). The top I am wearing also comes in midsize and plus size up to 4X. The coat is beautiful and well made for the price point being so low to other comparable wool type coats. I wore it in 30 degree weather and it kept me warm. It is beautifully lined inside too. Downsize it doesn’t have real pockets. The boot I wore got so many compliments. I feel like a lot of women dress for what makes other people happy and not themselves. I am a huge believer in dressing in pieces that bring you joy. For me that a fun pop of color or a glittery sparkling boot or heel. It was so apparent to me how many women envied my boots and stopped me to ask me about them they were almost wistful that if only they could pull off that look… I always tell the women who stop me that they too could look amazing in the same pieces of clothing I’m wearing. I am often met with comments of self doubt and I push back “girl you can wear it too and look awesome! How will you know unless you try?” As women we should encourage each other in all things even if it’s something as simple as buying that pair of shoes that gives you heart eyes. It took me 40 years to feel comfortable enough in my skin to do this. So I’m begging you won’t wait to find worth in yourself to love yourself and feel comfortable in your style.
