Friday wins for the week:
• We all had fun on Halloween! Homemade costumes came together and we paraded, trick or treated, and hosted friends for an informal prefunk (more like mid-funk).
• We only had one day of school after Halloween (we wouldn’t have made it if there were more!)
• I’m feeling refreshed and focused after a quick break from social media. I don’t expect that you missed me...but sometimes I feel the negative wheels turning more than I feel inspired and, when that happens, I feel it best to step back and gain some perspective. Focusing on my work, realigning my priorities, and acknowledging my feelings are all ways that help me feel recharged. This has included some less screen time, some meditation and a couple nights of an early bed time. How do you recharge? And please share your wins for the week.

Cabin fever is a real thing! And it’s officially setting in here. Of the last 8 school days, the kids have gone in for a total of 2 (1 full day and two half days). We’ve sledded, built snowmen, watched several movies, played board games, made cascading volcanos, and written all of our valentines (we don’t have any candy for our friends because snow).
