Anthropologie Gleaming Primrose Mirror

After wanting one for two years, I finally ordered myself the iconic Gleaming Primrose Mirror from Anthropologie. This viral product is a customer and influencer favorite, and even though Anthropologie has released a number of similar oversize mirrors since, I still love this one with the arched top and decoratively carved frame. In addition to as a piece of furniture and decor, I plan to use this mirror for outfit try-ons and as an outfit backdrop for blog and Instagram content. When it’s strictly being used as decoration, I might hang a wreath over the top using a thick pink velvet ribbon.

Unfortunately, my mirror was slightly damaged during delivery. You can see a chunk of the plaster is missing on the bottom right corner. Anthropologie offered to exchange or return it for free, but also offered a steep discount if I wanted to keep it. All my DIY and painting projects this summer must have me feeling confident. Because I’m going the discount route, getting refunded a few hundred dollars, and touching up the paint myself.

A year later, and I still haven’t touched up the paint, so I guess the ding doesn’t bother me too much! This mirror was such a splurge, but I’d 100% buy it again. It’s such a beautiful piece, it reflects so much light in the room, and I shoot a ton of fashion content for my Instagram in front of this mirror. Plus, I didn’t want to hang a lot of art in this room and have it detract from the wallpaper. But a giant wall mirror complements the wallpaper while offering some contrast and interest.

I posted the other day that I wanted to wear this @suesartor dress at least once more this summer, and Friday night I did just that. I splurged on this $498 dress earlier this spring and purchased it with my Poshmark sale money. I made an effort to wear it frequently throughout the spring and summer to reduce its cost per wear. I’ve definitely been working towards shopping less for fast fashion and prioritizing more independent designers and boutique brands instead, even though they’re often more expensive. This has meant investing in fewer but higher quality pieces, and because I have to love them A LOT to splurge on them, I’m excited to wear them on repeat. Take the @sezane Justine Basket Bag as another example. I purchased it last spring and carried it all last summer and all this summer too.

1 Sweater, 3 Ways!💚💚💚This $65 sweater (originally $99) is one of my favorite NSale purchases this year!

Available in three colorways in sizes xxs-XXL, I’m wearing the size XL in the Olive Epson color. I just love this shade of green. It pairs beautifully with everything from black, brown, and army green to various shades of pink, cream, and powder blue.

The fabric is a super soft acrylic/polyester/cotton/viscose/spandex blend. My favorite feature of this sweater is the cropped fit with the ribbing along the bottom hem. It’s the perfect length for more petite, short-waisted gals like me.

Oftentimes sweaters overwhelm my frame, completely mask my waist, and shorten my legs. But with a cropped fit like this, I can pair it with high waist pants and skirts without having to tuck it in, and it actually accentuates my natural waist and makes my legs look longer.
