My own mother told me our entire lives that she wished she never had kids and that she should have never had kids. But then proceeded to go on to have four kids and try for a fifth. As if that wasn’t enough dysfunction — on top of my parents constantly fighting and yelling what felt like daily — they then they decided to stay together “for the kids” for 23 years and now none of us talk … so yeah….
