my thoughts and ratings on each book i read in february 📚📖✨ • a not so meet cute (4⭐️) this book has major romcom vibes, it’s funny, entertaining, there’s great banter between the main characters. the tropes are enemies to lovers, fake relationship, billionaire, grumpy/sunshine. this book is heavy on the spice/smut. it’s book 1 out of 3, the cane brothers series. it’s fast paced, not boring, an easy read. • so not meant to be (4⭐️) this book has the same romcom vibes and comedic banter as book 1 of the series. the tropes are enemies to lovers, stuck together, opposites attract, billionaire. this book is also very heavy on the smut/spice. this one is also fast paced, entertaining, not boring, and an easy read. i liked jp way more than huxley. • a long time coming (4⭐️) this books trope changes from the first two in the series. the tropes of this book are friends to lovers, wedding, billionaire. the romcom vibes continue although this one has more drama and i loved it reading about it. this one also has lots of smut/spice. also fast paced, entertaining, not boring, and an easy read. • divine rivals (4⭐️) this book is a romance fantasy with a bit of historical fiction as well. it’s tropes are rivals to lovers, secret identity, slow burn, found family. there’s magic and gods, the setting mainly takes place during war so there’s lots of action, and the romance is sweet and deep. there is no spice/smut in this book. • ruthless vows (4⭐️) this is book two in the divine rivals series. it’s trope is amnesia which makes a very interesting plot line and builds so much anticipation. the magic and war between gods continues in this book which again creates so much action. there is no spice/smut in this book.
