STOP using your mascara wand.
Instead, use an interdental brush.

Why?

✔️ More precise application
✔️ Less clumping
✔️ More hygienic since you’re not repeatedly dipping back into the tube

Bonus: they’re inexpensive (and you can buy them in bulk on Amazon)

Love the dress but hate the shape? Before you return it, try adding a belt!

A belt can completely change a loose or shapeless dress by defining the waist and creating more balanced proportions.

I chose a rope belt because it works naturally with the relaxed, summery feel of this dress—and the neutral color doesn’t compete with the blue and green stripes.

Literally the easiest way to make a dress you almost love feel completely different.

Love this shirtdress. Such a fun print and the 100% cotton fabric is a dream - so airy and light. This summer dress does run slightly large so if you are in between two sizes, size down.

Such a fun summer dress. The zipper closure and metal aglets give this dress a sporty, yet chic vibe. The fabric is 100% cotton and extremely soft and light!

Obsessed with this maxi dress! The fabric is beyond soft and so light and airy, which makes it the perfect summer dress. I love the unexpected detailing. You can easily transform this dress from day to night by swapping out a pair of flats for some heels!

How to instantly look taller and thinner (no new clothes needed).

Tuck your shirt in!

✔️Tucking it in draws the eye up to the waist (the narrowest part of the body) instead of the thighs (the widest).

✔️It also makes your legs look longer by shifting the visual break higher.

I’ll definitely be talking more about visual breaks, but for now, save this post for the next time you’re getting dressed – you’ll notice the difference!

IF YOUR BELT IS TOO LONG TRY THIS:
• Take one of those small clear elastic hair ties (the ones used for the bottom of braids) and place it around your belt.
• Slide it down towards the end
• Fasten your belt and use the elastic to secure the extra length
Problem solved – no more awkward belt sticking out!
This hack also works great for situations where your belt ends in between two belt loops.
📝Save this hack for later – you’ll use it more than you think!

It’s not your body, it’s your jeans. As a personal stylist, one of the most common frustrations I hear is shopping for jeans.

The good news: there are small details you can look for which will make a big difference in how the jeans fit and whether they flatter your body.

1. No Whiskering: those faded lines on the upper thigh draw attention to the widest part of your body.

2. Clean Back Pockets: embellishments and designs pull focus to that area; a clean pocket blends in seamlessly and is more flattering.

3. High Rise: A higher rise draws the eye to your waist, making you look taller and slimmer.

⚠️One of the biggest mistakes when shopping for denim online is to filter by rise. Many brands or websites will miscategorize the jeans, so you’re often missing out on some of the best options without even realizing it!

Love these waterproof boots from @lacanadienneshoes! They’re super light-weight, easy to get on and off with the side zipper, and super chic! Win win all around! FYI - they do run slightly large; I took a full size down from my usual shoe size!

NOTE: the city dry tech does NOT apply to the laces and zippers! Apologies for that mistake!

This dress is technically a cover up but it can also easily be worn without a bathing suit as well!

FYI the sandals run small so size up one full size

#LTKSummerEdit #LTKSeasonal #LTKStyleTip

Love the versatility of this dress. For a more casual vibe pair it with flat sandals and a jean jacket. Then to make it more fancy swap out the flats for a pair of heels and ditch the jean jacket! Also tagged some other dresses I love!
