Long time no see everyone! 💕 I’ve been taking a break from Instagram to relax and grow this baby. 🤰🏼 We had a lovely little virtual baby shower yesterday and got some beautiful gifts. We have almost everything we need now for when she makes her arrival! . I have less than 2 months left until my due date and feeling pretty big and uncomfortable. 🙈 My back hurts, I’m clumsy, I can’t get up easily, and I’m no longer sleeping well. I’m definitely not the peppy girl I was in the 2nd trimester, but I feel so blessed. Just playing dress up with the sweetest little girl. 💕🥺 Clara is 7 weeks old now, she’s very smiley, enjoys bath time, and loves her mommy and daddy. Living in my comfy clothes as of late. 🤱🏼💕

There’s a lot of pressure on moms to pop out a baby and immediately look the same as we did before pregnancy. Friendly reminder, it takes 6 weeks for your uterus to shrink back after growing 500 times it’s size to house a baby. 🤰🏼 I have to remind myself that I’m only 2 weeks postpartum and it’s okay if I don’t fit in some of my normal clothes yet. 🤷🏼‍♀️ My favorite outfit right now is this jogger and top set from Amazon. My baby girl is one week old as of 9:30 last night. 🥺💕 I feel like she’s already changing. 😭Although she looks a bit displeased here, she’s generally a very happy baby. I got so lucky that she’s a good eater and a good sleeper. I just love her so much. 💗

Postpartum recovery has been a challenge, I’m not going to lie. I told the nurse I didn’t need a wheelchair to walk out of the hospital but I realized that wouldn’t have been a bad idea half way. If anyone is interested in the birth story I could talk about it on my stories. It definitely didn’t go any way, shape or form, like my birth plan, but I’m glad those measures were able to be taken in order to save her and even me.
