1) think of your outfit as 3 thirds
2) top 3rd should be different than 2 lower or thirds or vice versa
3) top 3rd should avoid halving your casual pants and cardigan look either;
A. Tuck top and belt your pants or
B. Unbutton your shirt at bottom and top to create v-shapes and still define where the 3rds are.
