It’s Tip Tuesday! Let’s chat about oils.

Is the cooking oil in your cabinet in a clear bottle or a dark bottle? This one detail can make all the difference between good and bad oil.

Rancid oil not only tastes terrible, but it’s also bad for you and can cause inflammation!

Luckily, there are a few super simple tips for buying and storing your favorite oils to make them last longer:

1) Buy oils in a dark glass container.
2) Don’t buy in bulk. Once opened, oil goes bad in 6 months.
3) Don’t store your oils in cute clear containers by your stove. Choose ceramic containers if you’re keep them out or store them in a dark space.

I grill with them, I turn bacon, sausage & meatballs with them, I caramelize onions with them and so much more. They’re always in the dishwasher because I literally use them ALL THE TIME!!

Life happens, soup helps!!

Creamy Taco Soup to the rescue and because I needed to clean out the fridge I added onions, peppers and mixed vegetables to the original recipe (which can be found on my Pinterest board Cheers To Great Recipes).
