Sunny days do happen in Lofoten 🌞 The weather in Northern Norway changes fast. You’ll often get a mix of rain, moody skies, and sunshine all in one trip. My best advice is to have an idea of what you want to see but stay flexible. And if you don’t get to everything, that just means you’ll have to come back ⛰️ A tip from a local: the best way to plan your day is simply to look outside and decide 🤭 I’ve also found it helpful to check the forecast for the day of or the next day, which has actually been pretty accurate on their local weather site. Still, things can shift quickly. Also, most hikes here are short, steeeeeep, and full of rock scrambling. If you are scared of heights (like me) you might not always make it to the summit, and that is totally okay. The views are just as magical below the top! . . 📸: w/ @kevin.peters91 lofotenislands lofotenviews northernnorway hikingnorway natureinspiration
