Sunny days do happen in Lofoten 🌞

The weather in Northern Norway changes fast. You’ll often get a mix of rain, moody skies, and sunshine all in one trip. My best advice is to have an idea of what you want to see but stay flexible. And if you don’t get to everything, that just means you’ll have to come back ⛰️

A tip from a local: the best way to plan your day is simply to look outside and decide 🤭
I’ve also found it helpful to check the forecast for the day of or the next day, which has actually been pretty accurate on their local weather site. Still, things can shift quickly.

Also, most hikes here are short, steeeeeep, and full of rock scrambling. If you are scared of heights (like me) you might not always make it to the summit, and that is totally okay. The views are just as magical below the top!

Moody days & surprise sunsets in Lofoten 🧡

After a full day of rain and grey skies in Norway, the last thing we expected was the sky to light up. I had checked the weather (more than once 😅) and it didn’t look promising, so we settled into a cozy cabin evening.

But one thing about Lofoten, the weather changes FAST.

I was sitting on the couch looking out the window at the drizzle, and saw a little pink cloud.
Nudged Kevin immediately, and said “wait, I think we’re gunna get a sunset!”

I hadn’t been as consistent with the gym for a while, so tbh, I wasn’t feeling as confident in my tighter tops when going to the gym. Since trying to get back to a good routine, I’ve been really loving the looser, baggy style tops/crews. I love to tuck them up in my sports bra in the back— that way it’s still flattering, but also loose and makes me feel comfier rn in the gym 🙂‍↔️

The long sleeve tops linked are light weight and I’ve been really loving them! I have two, both I bought oversized. The one pictured is size L, & I have a size M one too (I typically wear XS or S in “true size”, for reference).
The crew is a bit heavier/thicker, but I love it. The vintage look is a vibe and it has pockets 👀 I got size XL in the crew.

Shorts are size S, leggings size 2

I love to use Saie glowy super gel in the shade “sunglow” as a base/primer 🤎

For concealer: NARS 🤎

For foundations: I’ve been bouncing between Haus Lab, Charlotte Tilbury, and Colorescience 🤎

For bronzer: I’ve been using the Tarte sculpt tape liquid contour in “warm bronze” (but I couldn’t find that one to link, sorry!) or the Tarte clay waterproof bronzer in “park ave princess” 🤎

For setting powder: Laura Mercier 🤎

For blush: I have the Rare Beauty liquid blush in shade “Hope” and I love it! I also want one a little darker— thinking “Believe” will be my next shade 🤎

For brows: I love using Winky Lux to fill in any sparse areas and then a Benefit product to gel/fluff/shape them 🤎

For mascara: Been bouncing between L’Oréal Telescopic, Too Faced (waterproof or not), and NARS currently 🤎

For lips:
I like simple or gloss these days. Been bouncing between Summer Fridays in “Vanilla”, Sephora Outrageous Intense plumper in “02”, and love love love the Laneige sleeping mask in “Berry" 🤎

For face wash: I love to use the Inky List “Oat cleansing balm” or Osea 🤎

For acne: I love Rena Levi, the vanishing act cleansing soap bar. I occasionally use it on my face — however, I personally get the worst acne on my arms, so I mainly use this for my arms and it is amazing! It doesn’t have a super lovely smell (it’s pretty neutral, but it WORKS!) 🤎

For face moisturizer: Been using Osea Atmosphere protection cream for daytime and their collagen dream night cream for night 🤎
