Some days, I don’t feel like doing anything for myself. But I’ve learned that showing up small still counts and does WONDERS for my mood, mental health, productivity— all the things.

So how do I show up for myself on hard days?

✨ I shower. It may seem like a given, but IYKYK.

✨ I get dressed. Even if I have nowhere to go and I’m home all day with the boys, I put on a fresh set. And perfume.

✨ I get outside for a walk, even if it’s just 20 minutes. The sun on my face makes me feel like a new person.

✨ I play music in the background, because music is life and proven to reduce stress hormones.

✨ I read a devotional. Each read is 5 minutes and pours so much into me.. it’s makes a huge difference in my day.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about being intentional.

We’re not just learning how to dress our new bodies..
we’re learning how to show up for ourselves again. Or maybe for the first time ever.

Spring on the horizon makes me want to refresh all the spaces, even the kitchen. What I loved most about this champagne bronze collection is the matching latch! Such a high end look and reminds me of my favorite interior designer.

Pro tip: I went with knobs on all the doors and pulls on all the drawers (various sizes). Then I chose a few focal cabinets for the latches, like above the fridge and under the sink. I couldn’t love them more.

I stopped doing these 4 things and noticed my style (and my confidence) improve instantly:

1. I stopped listening to mega fashion-influencers. (Just keeping it real). They are walking billboards for many retailers that I don’t even like. There’s zero personalization. Which leads me to number two..

2. I stopped buying clothes that I thought I should like. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the hundreds of micro trends every season, they’re fun! But it gets confusing QUICK. Don’t allow social media trends to dictate your wardrobe. You are too unique for that.

3. I stopped holding onto clothes I haven’t worn in years. Getting dressed should feel effortless and inspiring. What’s not inspiring is seeing clothes hanging in your closet that either don’t fit or simply don’t inspire you anymore. Let’s edit that wardrobe so it serves you again.

4. I stopped comparing myself to others.
Confidence is the best accessory you could ever wear. Once I started to work on my inner joy and gratitude is when my confidence really flourished. It truly is *THE* game changer.

I learned this in a season when buying more wasn’t an option. I was home with littles, our budget was tight, my body had changed, and social media made it feel like everyone else had it figured out except me.
