I love using the aliquot method when making sourdough. It is such a big help when I am stretched on time and don’t want to babysit my dough. I can run by and quickly glance at my little sample and know quickly if my dough is ready for shaping.

Changing my bed made me no longer want this shiplap wall (tbh I had been tired of it for a while). Once the bed was in place, I knew it needed to go. After removal, puttying about a million nail holes, and painting, now I just need to figure out what wall decor I should add.

Easy sweet and sticky pork over fried rice with broccoli and green cabbage.

These pasta bowls are perfect 😍

Slice pork of choice really thin. Sautee with olive oil and pepper until no longer pink. Add 1/3 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup water, tbsp garlic, tsp freshly grated ginger, 1/4 cup brown sugar. Cook over low until most of liquid is absorbed. Prepare rice during this time.

In a new skillet, add tbsp sesame seed oil to pan. Add broccoli and cook for about 5 minutes. Add shredded green cabbage. Cook for a few more minutes (until soft). Add day old cold rice, another tbsp sesame seed oil, and soy sauce (to taste - I add about 1/2 cup). Add garlic salt and pepper to taste. Sister over medium heat until rice starts having crispy bottom. Serve pork mixture over rice and top with sesame seeds.
