Melasma is incredibly stubborn, but these are the three categories that made the biggest difference for me.

1. Never letting this son hit my face
Melasma isn’t just triggered by UV — it’s also triggered by visible light. That’s why dermatologists often recommend tinted mineral sunscreens with zinc oxide and iron oxides. They help block both UV and visible light, which is key if you’re trying to prevent melasma from coming back. Consistent sun protection is really the foundation. I also don’t open the sunroof in my car and I always wear a hat or visor when I’m in the sun. I also got the UV film protection on my car windows (linked my favorite hats )

2. Pigment-fading creams
The Obagi hydroquinone cream is one of the most effective ways to fade existing melasma because it helps break up pigment in the skin — but you do need a prescription for it.

I also linked another Obagi cream that doesn’t require a prescription because it doesn’t contain hydroquinone. Instead, it uses arbutin, which helps slow down pigment production. It works more gradually but is a great option if you can’t get the prescription version or want something gentler for maintenance.

3. Being mindful of heat
Something a lot of people don’t realize is that heat can trigger melasma too. Things like saunas, hot yoga, or letting your face overheat in the sun can stimulate pigment. I try to keep my face protected and avoid prolonged heat exposure whenever I can.

I wish more women knew that one incredible pair of jeans will do more for your wardrobe than five decent ones.

For years I kept buying “pretty good” jeans… and they never quite hit right. The rise was off, the leg shape wasn’t flattering, or I found myself constantly adjusting them.

These were DEF an investment, but the fit is so insane that I reach for them about five days a week. They instantly make everything else I wear look more polished — even something as simple as a tee and blazer.

I’ve learned sometimes the smartest move isn’t buying more… it’s finding the one pair that fits like perfection.

Linked everything I use for my daily routine, skin flooding, and weekly skin stamping.

For skin flooding, I layer hydrating toners (use do about 2) + essences (about 3)on damp skin back to back immediately after washing my before my creams. The key is to lock in extreme hydration.

When I skin stamp, I rotate between Calecim and Biopelle. I do it once a week at a .25 depth. I only do one pass in each section. This is different than my deep 1x a month microneedling treatment. I do this so my growth factors can really penetrate. I replace the stamper after I use it about eight times. Make sure you sterilize the needles before and after

I’m loving you this new top I got from Aritzia. It’s the perfect top to throw when I’m going to the gym and with it not being so cold out in the morning. I love that it looks elevated, but it’s super comfortable. I also love the drop waist. I’m wearing a medium.

Here’s exactly how I do it 👇

(I start by double cleansing my face and then doing my skin flooding. I linked my favorite products for skin flooding. I usually use two toners and three essences)

Step 1 — Skin stamping
Once a week I use a very shallow depth stamp. I’m not doing this for collagen like professional microneedling — I do it to help my skincare penetrate better.

Step 2 — Growth factors
Right after stamping I apply growth factors. These help support the skin’s repair process and are amazing for helping skin look healthier and more radiant over time.

Step 3 — Calm the skin
I lightly mist my skin with a calming B5 spray. This helps reduce redness and irritation after the treatment.

Step 4 — Barrier repair
Next I apply a thick ceramide cream. After stamping your skin barrier needs support, and ceramides help lock in hydration and protect the skin while it heals.

Step 5 — Extra hydration
I like to add a barrier mist like the Aestura before I apply the collagen mask.

Step 6 — Overnight collagen mask
The final step is a collagen wrapping mask that seals everything in overnight. This is what gives me that really plump, glassy skin by morning!!

*The eyelash serum I applied is free from prostaglandins (hormones).
