I test a lot, these are the ones I keep because they actually support collagen at a deeper level.

Growth factors
I use these with microneedling and skin stamping because they contain signaling proteins that help stimulate repair and collagen production—not just surface hydration. I use the Dr Pen M8 for microneedling.

LED light
This one specifically delivers the wavelengths (around 630–660nm) that have been shown to stimulate fibroblasts, which are the cells responsible for producing collagen.

Olive oil (high polyphenol)

Collagen supplements are broken down into amino acids, so they don’t go directly to your skin—but they do provide the raw materials your body needs to produce collagen. The part people miss is that collagen synthesis also depends on vitamin C and silica.

Tretinoin
You need a script for this but it’s not hard to get. I get mine from Nurx. I love to apply the La Roche Posay cream after to avoid irritation.

Mine already includes vitamin C, and I add silica into my coffee daily to support proper collagen formation and cross-linking.

I’m big on supporting collagen from multiple angles—production, protection, and repair—not just relying on one product.
