If you’re like me and a little picky about spending, these are the 10 things I truly think are worth buying. Kimchi: Use all organic. Thinly slice: 3 raw beets (peeled), 1 head green cabbage, 3 Persian cukes, 1 bunch dill, 1 red onion. Salt generously in a large bowl & toss… Let this rest. Next blend: 1” ginger, 4 garlic cloves, 3 Serrano peppers, 2 Honeycrisp apples (cored), ~2c water, 3 T fish sauce. Pour the blended mixture over the veggie, mix. Cover with plastic wrap, leave in the bowl on the counter overnight. Place in glass jars the next day (liquid covering, full), and seal jars with lids. Set jars on a tray (in case of overflowing). Burp (gently open and reseal) both AM/PM. Ferment for 3 days on counter (or to taste). Refrigerate. (FB)
