One thing I’m learning with our new house is that creating a home takes time!!
When we bought our previous house, we were in full mode to get everything done, so we did in less than 2 years! When I think about it, I don’t even know how I had the energy!
But, this time it’s different! I’m learning to take my time and enjoy as I go. And since this is the house we plan to stay in for a long time, there’s no reason to be rushed! Especially now that the overwhelming part is finally over!

Hello everyone! It’s been a while!
First, I’d like to say thank you for sticking around. I know I haven’t been very active here but this year has been a roller coaster of emotions and I knew I needed to take it easy. Thank you for your kind messages while I was gone, it means the world to me!

We have a lot going on at our house right now. Lots of plans have changed since we bought it, but that’s the magic of being homeowners!
We’re currently installing new floors, as you can see in this picture, we’re halfway done! It’ll be ready for Christmas!
The initial plan was to refinish the existing hardwood, but it ended up being way too expensive so we went with our second option! I’ll be giving more details about our floors soon!

I finally was able to put my new tree up and decorate it! Oh, and as you can see, we also got our new couches! Our living room is almost complete, still waiting on the coffee table and chandelier! But we’re getting there!!

Mr. Bones has finally gotten back! And I had the best vacation ever.
Now, it’s time to get back to work!! Yesterday I started removing the LVP flooring to be able to refinish the hardwood that’s underneath!
It was a day full of surprises and the budget we had set for the front porch will end up going towards the floors!
Which is ok, we will add the porch next year! ☺️
