Day 5 of the Liver Detox ✨

The scale is holding steady today—and that’s okay. For women who still have cycles, hormonal shifts (especially right before your period) can cause temporary water retention and stall scale changes, even when detoxification and fat loss are happening behind the scenes.

This is actually why I don’t normally step on the scale daily during a detox. For many women, it can be mentally discouraging and doesn’t reflect what’s truly happening in the body. I usually weigh in at the beginning and again at the very end.

I’m sharing daily this round purely for education—to show you how a woman’s body can respond during a detox, especially around cycle timing. Progress isn’t always linear, and the scale is only one small piece of the picture 🤍

Noticing a heightened sense of smell, stronger body odor, coated tongue, and even different breath—this can all happen during an active liver detox. Day 5 of 7 on the Liver Detox ✨

If you struggle with acne, this phase can feel discouraging—but it’s normal. I’m purging through my skin, which can happen when the liver is releasing stored toxins. The skin is one of our detox organs, so temporary breakouts during a detox are often a sign things are moving.

Once detox pathways are clear, my skin typically stays calm and clear—until my body becomes overloaded again. For many of us, acne starts inside, not on the surface.

Day 5 of the 7-Day Liver Detox ✨
If you’ve detoxed before, you know this is usually the pit 😅—your body fully realizes something is different and starts responding.

What I’m noticing today:
• A dip in energy around 4pm
• BUT also a big win after listening to my body

Last night after the kids went to bed, I took a bath, used my lymphatic drainage plate, did some red light therapy, and prioritized rest. I slept so well and woke up feeling genuinely good this morning 🙌

Day 5 feels like settling in—less shock, more awareness. I’ll be sharing more videos on what I’m noticing as my body continues to adjust and clear things out.
