We switched to bamboo toilet paper for a reason 🤍

When my daughter Ruby was three, she had a really rough UTI. As a mom, that was my wake-up call to look at everything she was coming into contact with daily — even the things we don’t usually think twice about, like toilet paper.

Most conventional toilet paper is made from trees and often bleached with harsh chemicals, fragrances, or residues that can be irritating, especially for sensitive skin. Bamboo toilet paper, on the other hand, is naturally hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, and much gentler on delicate areas.

Bamboo is also more sustainable and requires fewer chemicals to process, which means fewer toxins near one of the most absorbent areas of the body. Since switching, it’s been one of those small, simple swaps that gives me peace of mind — especially for my kids.

Day 5 of the Liver Detox ✨

The scale is holding steady today—and that’s okay. For women who still have cycles, hormonal shifts (especially right before your period) can cause temporary water retention and stall scale changes, even when detoxification and fat loss are happening behind the scenes.

This is actually why I don’t normally step on the scale daily during a detox. For many women, it can be mentally discouraging and doesn’t reflect what’s truly happening in the body. I usually weigh in at the beginning and again at the very end.

I’m sharing daily this round purely for education—to show you how a woman’s body can respond during a detox, especially around cycle timing. Progress isn’t always linear, and the scale is only one small piece of the picture 🤍
